In response to Berlin Science Week’s theme Beyond Now, I-opener e.V. invites participants to reflect on time, urgency, and transformation through interdisciplinary practices. The event begins with a workshop on Ecological Consciousness, connecting sustainability science and psychology. Originally developed for the Social Studies of Science Conference in Hawaii, it explores how perception and emotion shape ecological behaviour. In the evening, a panel and participatory dialogue brings together voices from art, science, and philosophy, discussing narratives of time and response. The day concludes with a participatory screening of A Call for Empathy in Times of Ecological Collapse, a collaborative video work involving 650+ participants across four countries. Curated for those working across art, research, and public engagement, this intimate setting complements our exhibition in Mahalla the same weekend.
Workshop on Ecological Consciousness (15:30–16:30) Panel Discussion & Participatory Installation (17:00–19:00) Networking and drinks (19:00 - 21:00)
