Ilyas Grunt

(adventurer and photographer)

Ilyas Grunt is an adventurer and photographer residing in Marseille (France) who mainly focused on mapping out forgotten spaces.

Since 2015 he developed a sensitive approach to places and people through exploration travelling “by fair means” (hitchhiking, Kayaking, hiking…) to explore and undertake cartographies of Eastern Europe. He constantly sees ways to deliver important but out-of-comfort-zone messages to people, and this is why he joined the collective I-opener.
