Founded in 2019, the Berlin-based NGO I-opener e.V. is a continuously evolving group of international artists and thinkers engaged towards education for sustainable development.Through workshops, exhibitions and talks around the world, we aim to cultivate a sense of ecological consciousness. The science behind our impact on Nature is hard to grasp because it is so complex. For this reason, we organise events that deploy aesthetic, interactive and scientific approaches to make participants feel their role in our global ecosystem instead of just learning impersonal facts about it.

To create an immersive art experience that bridges psychology and sustainability, inspiring deep reflection on our relationship with ourselves, each other and the environment. Through interactive and thought-provoking works, we aim to spark awe, conversation, and meaningful action.

Science reveals the crisis, but often fails to connect emotionally. Art touches hearts, but can lack depth. Activism spreads urgency, yet fatigue grows. The events we create at I-opener blend the emotional power of art with the integrity of science to create educational and participatory spaces where people confront the ecological crisis not only with facts, but with a sense of belonging.
